We remember you, Justin.
The chorus of this song goes:
Reach back for the joy and the sorrow
Put them away in your mind
The mem’ries are time that you borrow
To spend when you get to tomorrow
I will always remember, as I’m sure all of us can agree, your shamelessly passionate worship to our LORD. I really felt the chorus yesterday as we sat in our humble A-Life meeting worshipping. As I wosrhipped, I kept on thinking and hearing in my heart and head where your voice would soar above all the rest with your counter melodies and cries of our LORD Jesus’ name. I know that even though it will bring me to tears everytime I think of where your voice would be, I’m holding onto the truth that being with Jesus now is better than any life that could’ve been lived on earth. That you are worshipping hard - still giving your all, now complete in and with Jesus - and that I don’t have to be sad because you for sure are not.
We remember the times of your life here, Justin. I remember you. I remember when you really wanted to sing “#5” again and again and again. I remember how you were always so quick to apologize to any of the sisters if you ever thought you had offended one of us. I remember your open admiration for our brothers and held them in such high esteem. I remember your desire to see your friends saved and your unrelenting faith that JESUS is able to do amazing things on your campus. I remember your deep love and respect for your family.
May we learn from who you were here and as we look forward to seeing you as you’re now complete with our LORD, may we learn to do so in hope and joy.
May Jesus continue to uplift our mourning hearts as we remember you dancing.
