Coroner Case #701000379 - On 01/15/2010 at 8:15 P.M., Justin Chang, a 23 year old resident of Hacienda Heights was the driver of a 2007 Toyota Scion, traveling south bound on Highway 395 at mile post marker 61 in Rural Helendale. Chang lost control of his vehicle and swerved off the highway and then into the north bound lane of Highway 395. Chang was broadsided by a 2005 Honda van that was traveling north bound on Highway 395. Chang was removed from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedic Julie Heggenberge of the San Bernardino County Fire Department on 01/15/2010 at 9:04 PM.
