here is a story that basically shocked my Christian values

when Watchman Nee was young
(if you don’t know who he is, wikipedia him)
he was in a debate with an elderly brother on a certain theological issue
but since the brother was older in age and served longer then him
it was consider impolite and wrong to rebuke him
so he went and found another elder that was older
and the elder happened to agree with Watchman’s view point
so he brought the elder with him to continue the debate with this brother
but the brother only said the following:

“Brother Nee, you still don’t understand the meaning of the cross.”

and from then on, Watchman Nee fasted 40 days for repentance.

between brothers, sometimes there is no need to establish who is right or wrong
and the meaning of the cross is to crucify our own desires, pride, ideals and value
so sometimes debates should not be exchanging bible verses
but joining each other in prayer before God despite the differences

I learned it the hard way

I think Chicago Cubs might win world series this year cuz they have Fukudome
Fukudome is a machine
when you play a Japanese baseball games
theres only 2 people with 3 stats over 90, one is Ichiro, and the other one Fukudome.

Funny how the Lord is still using you to teach me things. Justin Chang, you were a man of whom the world was not worthy. Rest in peace bro.
